Today I decided to try out some of my new eye shadows and this is the result (picture above). In order to create the eye look I did this before applying any foundation so that I was able to clean up any mess easily. I placed a piece of masking tape to the edges of my eyes on each side and lined it up towards the end of my eyebrow in order to create a clear line for my winged eye-liner to follow. I then began to gradually deepen my crease by adding different shades of brown on top of each other, blending as I go with my eye contour brush. After this was all blended out to make it look seamless, I applied a pale yellow to the lid, before placing on a yellowy-gold eye shadow which had glitter in. All of these shadows were from a Revolution eye shadow pallet. The eye liner followed this step as I lined the water and tight line with a Kohl black liner, before going in with my liquid pen eye liner by Ted Baker (highly recommend!) to line above my eye lashes and bringing it out into a small wing.
After removing the tape you are able to clean up any fall from the eye shadow or any small mistakes on the edge to create a clean line. In order to create a flawless base I moisturised before applying my foundation. The foundation I used was Lasting Perfection in the shade Ivory by Collection. I applied this using my fingers as I find this is the easiest and quickest way for me to achieve results as I do have scaring and some acne on my face. I then covered up any redness that was coming through, as well as spots and marks on my face using the Super Stay 24H Concealer by Maybeline and dabbed this out to blend using either my fingers or beauty blender. I followed by drawing a triangle with the same concealer under my eyes and blended this out with my beauty blender also. I set this all in place using my Stay Matte Translucent Powder by Rimmel using a powder brush.
In order to contour my face I used the dark shade in the Revolution Due Face Sculpt compact with a contour brush just below my cheek bones to define them, as well as on my forehead and under my jaw. I then went in with a dark blush from a Studio gift set pallet with a blusher brush. For the lips I lined them with a brown lip pencil from Primark before filling them in with a Primark Matte lip crayon in the shade Nude.
