Revolution have come out with a new collection of makeup products called ‘I Heart Makeup’ which are available to purchase in Superdrug in the UK. The products range from lipsticks and lipglosses, to brow products, eye shadows, bronzers, blushers and highlighters. The ‘I Heart makeup/chocolate’ eyeshadow palettes have been called out as a dupe for Two Faced’s Chocolate bar palettes and the revolution palettes are around £7.99, whereas Two Faced’s palettes are £39.99!
1. What is the product/ trend?
Although I wish I could have bought every single thing from this collection, I decided to just pick up the Unicorns Heart highlighter as I had seen lots about rainbow highlighters and wanted to see what all the hype was about. This was £4.99 which I thought was fairly reasonable seeing as it technically has five different highlighter shade within it. There is 10g of product and the highlighter shades are SO pigmented, smooth and creamy!
2. What made you try it?
As I said before, I decided to give it a go to see what all the hype was about. I had seen various youtubers, including Sophdoesnails and Roxxsaurus trying out and trying to create DIY rainbow highlighters, and so when I saw that makeup revolution had come out with one I just had to try it for myself.
3. What were your final thoughts?
After swatching the individual colours from the highlighter onto the back of my hand and arm, I was very impressed with the colour payoff and how easily they glided onto the skin.
When it came to actually trying it on my face it still went on super easy, as well as still having that magnificent colour pay off! There is a video on this highlighter being uploaded on my YouTube so you are able to see what it looks like on my face.
4. What would be the next one that you want to try?
I would next like to try using glitter within a makeup look as this trend seems to be growing more so recently as a result of the upcoming festival season.
I hope you have enjoyed my review of Unicorns Heart Highlighter.
