Christmas fairs are popping up here, there and everywhere at the moment! I had already been to a couple, which I would normally go to each year, but I decided to also try and go to one I would not usually go to. This was the Woodforde’s Magical Christmas Market which was held on the 2nd and 3rd of December 2017, and I believe is held annually.
Woodforde’s themselves said:
I was not sure what to expect, as I had been to Woodforde’s and The Fur and Feather many times and knew that it was not on a very large area of land in which to set up a Christmas Market. However, on arrival I was pleasantly surprised to see quite a few cars in the overflow carpark, as well as the large white marquee that was home to the stallholders for the two days. There were around 20 stalls to look around from cheese, to fudge, to gin and vodka, and of course the beer and ales that are brewed at Woodforde’s. They were offering out free tasters for the various beers and ales, and this actually meant that you got basically the equivalent of a free half a pint for each Woodforde’s beer/ale that you wanted to taste…… WHICH WAS FAB!
There were jams and marmalade, homemade cupcakes, Christmas Puddings and also different strengths of hot sauce….. I tried the smallest amount of the hottest and Oh My God…. I could feel it for at least an hour after having it!
All in all, I would definitely go again, but maybe next time I will remember to pre book a table at The Fur and Feathers, so that I am able to have some dinner before returning home.
Love your little Alien
