As Valentines day is looming, many of us will be debating what we could possibly do on this day typically aimed at couples to celebrate their love for one another….. GIVE ME A BUCKET!
More recently, people are using valentines day as an excuse to show anyone and everyone how much they mean to them, whether this be through a friendship, a family member, or a loved one.
For a FOODIE:
Why not go for the classic chocolate covered strawberries and some wine? A breakfast of their fave…. heart-shaped pancakes? Fruit cut in the shape of a heart? The food doesn’t even need to be heart shaped…. maybe just cook them their all time favourite meal or dessert? If you want to spread the love then you could even go all out and bake some cookies or cakes and decorate accordingly and share them around your friends, family and even work colleagues….. because why not put a smile on someones face?!
For the ADVENTURERS:
How about a night away? Or if you are on a budget, get your comfiest clothes on and have a movie night with a few bubbles, popcorn and your favourite sweet treats! Spa days are typically angled towards those loved up couples on valentines day, but who says that you can’t get a group of your closest friends together and relax, wind down, and enjoy each others company whilst having a massage right?! Even a night on the town, enjoying a few cocktails would also be a great way to do something for valentines day, but in a way that you won’t remember that you are single…. PERFECT!
For those FAMILIES:
As a family, it is understandable that the adults may not get time to themselves, or may just want to celebrate the day as a family. Doing arts and crafts is a great way to get creative as well as gives the kids something to do and give without breaking the bank! Going for a picnic and a walk around a park, or the woods is a great way to spend quality time with your family and peel everyone away from the many screens for at least a few hours. How about even make some bird treats to hang in the garden and watch the birds as part of your valentines day activities?
Or if you are super against valentines day then….. well cheer yourself up and make some cookies to decorate and then demolish….. all by yourself
I hope you have enjoyed this post and it has given you some inspiration as to what you could do on Valentines day no matter whether you have that special someone, a family to plan for, want to spend some quality bonding time with friends, or even do nothing and have a relaxing day by yourself!
Love your little alien
